Our Values & Beliefs

WHAT WE BELIEVE

THE BIBLE
God has revealed Himself to us through His word.

The Bible is God’s primary way of speaking to us today and it’s unlike any other religious writing in the world. We believe that the Bible, in its entirety, is inspired by God and recorded by godly people under the direction of the Holy Spirit, and it is without error in the original manuscripts. We also believe that God has supernaturally preserved the integrity of the Scriptures, and therefore we submit to the Bible as the supreme authority in all matters of faith and practice.

2 Timothy 3:26; 2 Peter 1:21

GOD
God is Good.

We believe that there is only one true God; He is good, and He loves you. God is eternal, and unchangeable in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth. Though one being, we believe that God exists eternally in three co-equal persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each of these persons possesses the same attributes and perfections worthy of the same honor, confidence, and obedience.

Psalm 34:8, John 3:16, Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14

THE FATHER
God created you and knows you.

We believe in God the Father, Creator of all things, the eternal, sovereign, personal spirit (John 4:24). We believe He foreknows all that will come to pass. We believe He works all things according to His eternal decree and for His own glory, His designation as Father refers both to His role within the Trinity and His relationship with mankind.

Genesis 1:1-3, Isaiah 46:9-10, Ephesians 1:11, Ephesians 4:6: Romans 8:14.

THE SON
Jesus gave His life for mankind

Jesus is the full deity and eternal existence of Jesus Christ who took on flesh through the virgin birth so that He might reveal God to man. We believe He is fully God and fully man. We believe that He came to save a lost world and through His life, death, and resurrection, He reconciled and redeemed sinful man to Himself. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ that He ascended into heaven and that He is at the right hand of the Father perpetually interceding for His people. We believe that He is coming again.

Luke 1:30-35; John 1:18, John 10:30; Colossians 2:9, Luke 24:36-43, John 3:16; Mark 10:45, 2 Corinthians 5:18-21, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Philippians 2:5-8, Acts 1:9, Hebrews 4:14-16

THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Spirit leads and guides followers of Jesus.

We believe in the full deity and eternal existence of the Holy Spirit, and that He indwells every believer. At the moment of salvation, a believer is baptized with the baptism of the Holy Spirit which unites all believers to Christ in one body. We believe the Holy Spirit ministers to believers by regenerating them, making the old new, empowering them with gifts to serve the local body, and guiding them in truth and in the instruction of the Word. Concerning the lost, we believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment.

John 14:16-17, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Titus 3:5, 1 Corinthians 12:1-7; John 16:13, Romans 12:4-8, John 16:7-11

MAN
Sin separates mankind from God, but God in love and mercy has made a way to be with a man.

We believe man was originally created in the image of God free from sin, but that he fell through sin. We believe with the original sin of Adam came both physical and spiritual death. This death then spread to all mankind leaving us in a state of total depravity in need of the grace of God to restore what sin had broken.

Genesis 1:26-31, Genesis 3:1-6. Romans 3:23, 5:12, 6:23, Ephesians 2:1-3

SALVATION
We do not earn a relationship with God, but it is a gift.

We believe that salvation is wholly of God by grace on the basis of the redemption of Jesus Christ, the merit of His shed blood, and not on the basis of human merit or works. We believe salvation is received as the gift of God by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Believe that a believer’s salvation is eternally secure being sealed by the Holy Spirit Himself who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it.

Ephesians 1:13-14.Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7, John 1:12; Ephesians 1:4-7; 1 Peter 1:18-19.

THE END
Life is all about preparing for what is next.

We believe that one day Jesus will return to the earth in power and glory to establish His kingdom. Only God knows when that time is. During Christ’s reign on earth, Satan will be bound and the curse that now plagues the earth due to the Fall will be lifted, and God’s covenant promises will be fulfilled. Until then, our mission is to help as many people find and follow Jesus.

Ezekiel 37:21-28; Daniel 9:24-27; Matthew 24-25; Isaiah 11:9; Romans 8:19-23; Revelation, 1 Thessalonians 4:16; Titus 2:13.
