Baptism

We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death in order that ...we too might walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:4

Believer’s Baptism

Baptism is an outward expression of the inward transformation that takes place when we receive Jesus into our lives through faith. If you’re a follower of Jesus and have never been baptized as a believer, we encourage you to take this public step of faith; demonstrating your commitment to Jesus and letting others be encouraged by the work God has done in your life.

What Does Baptism Look Like? At Boulder Mountain, baptism is a celebration! We believe that baptism is a chance for us to bring a bit of heaven to earth. (Luke 15). We offer baptisms within service 4-5 times a year. You can register online, and a member of our team will then be in touch with you.

1. TESTIMONY

If you would like, you may give a brief testimony of your life before Jesus, how you came to know Him, and how He has changed you. You don’t have to be a polished public speaker; just sharing what Jesus has done!

2. IMMERSION

You’re immersed—you’re laid back under the water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3. CELEBRATE

We rejoice and celebrate with you!

Why Should I be Baptized?

  1. Jesus commands that we should (Matthew 28:19-20)
  2. Jesus was baptized (Mark 1:9)
  3. The apostles taught it (Acts 2:38)
  4. The early church practiced it (Acts 2:41; 8:12)

Baptism is not required for salvation. We are saved by grace through faith, not works. (Ephesians 2:8-9). However, it is a part of growing in your walk with Jesus.
