Passage: The Psalms Psalm 77:1-20
The psalmist in Psalm 77 describes a deep depression: "Will He reject me forever?” Often, our greatest enemy in depression is ourselves and our racing, negative thoughts. The psalmist freely admits his anguish, demonstrating that the Bible doesn't demand fake cheerfulness; it provides a vocabulary for profound pain.
